What is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy implements low-level wavelengths of light to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, discoloration, rosacea and acne by stimulating cellular regeneration and activating collagen production. It is known to expedite skin healing pertaining to sunburn, wounds, abrasions, irritation, and inflammation in addition to alleviating pain associated with muscle strain, joint issues and arthritis. Red Light Therapy (RLT) is often referred to as photobiomodulation (PBM), low level light therapy (LLLT), soft laser therapy, photonic stimulation, biostimulation and low-power laser therapy (LPLT) among other names.

How does the Red Light LED Bed work?
Red Light Therapy catalyzes a biochemical effect in cells that strengthens the mitochondria, where cellular energy is produced. By increasing the function of the mitochondria using Red Light Therapy, a cell can create more ATP (adenosine triphosphate), an energy-transporting molecule. With more energy, cells rejuvenate faster and repair damage more efficiently.

What we can treat with the Wellness Pod

Fat Loss Therapy

The light energy emitted by the LED bed can penetrate the skin and reach the subcutaneous fat layer. It acts on fat cells through specific wavelengths, power and frequencies. When sufficient energy is absorbed, the permeability of the fat cell membrane will change. At the same time, it causes the cell's biochemical reaction and triggers the release of lipase, which can break down triglyceride (the main ingredient of fat cells) into fatty acids and glycerol molecules. These small molecules can cross cell membranes and enter interstitial tissue. They can then participate in the body's metabolism cycle and be processed and consumed naturally. Fat cells shrink significantly, which leads to the shrinkage and removal of cellulite on a macro scale. Therefore, fat-concentrated areas such as hips, abdomen, thighs, and arms can safely and effectively reduced.

Skin & Tissue Therapy

Red light can also stimulate collagen and elastin production in fibroblasts. They play a very important role in improving skin health. Light therapy can reduce wrinkles, treat acne, psoriasis, scarring, even out skin tone, enhance elasticity and hydration.

Pain & Arthritis Therapy

Using 660nm red light+ 850nm near-infrared, the irradiation area can reach deep muscles and bones.  This enhances the activity of phagocytes, reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, relieve joint and muscle pain, while stimulating fibrocytes to produce collagen, which helps the affected area heal faster.

Photobiomodulation can significantly reduce pain, improve microcirculation and improve health in chronic joint disorders; including osteoarthritis, and mechanical spine disorders.

Neurological Therapy

Photobiomodulation (PBM) can benefit neurodegenerative diseases; including Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, dementia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, spinal cord injury, and degenerative central nervous system disease. PBM has been shown to significantly improve cognition in mild to moderately severe dementia and possible Alzheimer’s Disease cases as well as TBI patients even years after injury. PBM has also been shown to improve neuronal function in patients with Parkinson’s Disease.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) has been shown to increase cognitive and emotional brain function; including attention, memory and mood.

And, significantly reduce depression and anxiety. PBM has also been shown in rodent studies to increase mitochondrial activity within brain cells and grow new brain cells (neurogenesis).
